About us

The idea of uniting sons and daughters of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru origin resident in Abeokuta was conceived by High Chief(Pastor) Richard Osuagwu. This brilliant idea was communicated to High Chief Herbert Osuji and Deacon Anayo Osuji who welcomed the idea. However, on 23rd October, 2010, Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Welfare Association Abeokuta was founded and established during the first meeting held at the residence of High Chief Herbert Osuji, along Ayetoro Abeokuta, OgunState. In attendance were the following: 1.High Chief(Pastor) Richard Osuagwu 2. High Chief Herbert Osuji 3. Deacon Anayo Osuji. They are the founders of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Welfare Association Abeokuta. As fate may have it, High Chief(Pastor) Richard Osuagwu became the first Chairman while, Deacon Anayo Osuji became the first Secretary of the newly established Association. The young Association experienced rapid growth in all ramifications because of competent leadership and overwhelming support received from members. In 2013, the men's wing and women's wing were unified.
The following served as members of the Executive Committee.

After 11 years of excellent service and piloting the affairs of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Welfare Association, High Chief(Pastor) Richard Osuagwu led Executive handed over to Mr.George Opara and his executives in a free and fair election held on 28th November, 2022.

place of birth: Sir Luke Adiele Ehirim was born on Eke Ukwu Day in the family of both late Pa Luke Iwuji and Ma Anthonia Nwanyiugo Ehirim of Umuokwara Obishirike Umuonyeali - Ugo Ihitte Mbieri, on the 30th of August,1957 at Owerri General Huspital Imo State .
schools attended: Saint Benignus Primary school Umuodu Mbieri from 1964 - 1972 as a result of Nigeria civil war.
Community Secondary School Emekeukwu from 1976-1980 .
Federal College of Education,Katsina from 1992-1994.

place of work: Worked with Nigeria Customs Service from 1980-2015 and retired as a senior Officer after thirty - five (35) year's of active service but not tired.
Addendum: Am married to an epitome of African woman who is humble, Obidient, lovely and respectful.God blessed my marriage with four children,three boys and a girl who are wonderful, Faithful to God and respect to humanity.

I am a Catholic Christian and a 4th Degree Knight of Saint Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria,a member of Justice and Peace.

I warmly thank our members for finding me worthy to be appointed to lead this noble organization. It is an organization whose tenets is routed in peace, unity and progress hence the motto : "idi n'otu bu Ike". These past few months has been an eye opener to me. I have learnt a lot while on the job about Igbo customs and traditions. It is also with great passion I work with my executives to move this organization forward. While thanking God Almighty for His favours and protection of all Mbaike welfare association members, I pray Almighty God see all of us in good health of mind and body through the new and beyond.. He proceeded to Nitel Training School, Oshodi and obtained distinction in OND Telecommunication Engineering.

University of Benin, Benin-City and graduated with a 2nd class upper division in Computer Science and Engineering.

He later went to University of Lagos for his Master's in Computer Science as well as ESUT Business School, Enugu and obtained an Executive Masters in Business Administration.

Due to the demand of his job, he went to ESUT Business School again to do his Master of Science in Human Resource Management.

position occupied: He is currently the Vice President Association of Non Indigenes Resident in Ogun State. He was the former Secretary Imo State Welfare Association (ISWA) Abeokuta, former Secretary General Ohanaeze Ndiigbo Ogun State, former PA on media and communication to late Uzodimma Iwuoha, former President Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ogun State, Former Secretary Nzuko Ndigbo Abeokuta,former Secretary Ohanaeze Ndiigbo Abeokuta South, Immediate past Vice Chairman Ohanaeze Ndiigbo Abeokuta South, founder/Immediate past Chairman Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Welfare Association.
